I am not interested in diving deep or competing. Does it make sense for me to take FII Levels 2 and 3?

Do not let the maximum depth limits of these courses (L2: 132'/40m; L3: unlimited depth) make you believe they are only for people who want to dive deep or compete. Yes, you will acquire knowledge and skills that are used by the deepest freedivers in the world to safely dive up to these limits if you so choose, but more importantly, you will learn how to become a better freediver. You now have a great foundation in safety, basic freediving technique , and breathing techniques from FII Level 1, but there is so much more to learn and explore. In Levels 2 and 3 you will progressively improve your diving and breathing to more advanced and efficient techniques.

In Level 2 you will learn how to take advantage of your physiological predispositions for freediving and how to efficiently trigger and nurture the mammalian diving reflex. Additionally, you will learn about various triggers that urge you to breathe and how to tame or disable those triggers irrelevant to freediving.

The FII Level 3 Freediver course then focuses on what you can do to start changing your physiology to be more suitable for freediving, such as changing your diet or exercise routines.
